Finishing Summer Quarter and Looking to the Fall

We are finishing our work for the summer. Today and tomorrow we have final conferences and I’ll talk to each of you about your English levels and what you can study next.

Classes will begin again on September 23rd. I will be testing and registering new students on September 12th and 13th from 9am to noon.

In the meantime, take a look at this video about your body language and how you can use it to improve your English or anything else you’d like to do with your life. It’s 20 minutes long and Amy Cuddy the psychologist is talking to an English speaking audience so the language is fast. But I recommend you take the time to listen. She has a powerful message.

You can also find many wonderful things to do this summer. Here are the parks and recreation sites for Tacoma, Puyallup and Kent.

If you go to the Puyallup Concerts in the park you might see me there!

And of course, remember to do at least a little English study over our break. Speak to your English speaking neighbors, watch English movies and take a look at the website on my ESL Websites and Resources page. Many of you need to practice writing. Take the time to write your thoughts and ideas in an English journal this summer. I would be happy to look at what you’ve written when you return.

I wish you a beautiful summer filled with family and friends!

Karrie
